“A little paradise and very helpful host The Mango Tree Lodge is set in a beautiful, quiet tropical garden. The cottages made of natural materials are simple but friendly and you find everything you need. Rajen and his family do everything for you to have a magical stay at the lodge and Bardia Nationalpark. The activities, like jungle walk and jeep-safari with rafting were perfectly organised with his awesome team. Pick-up from Ambassa was also no problem. He took us to the elephant stables as well.”
“Skip Chitwan, come to Bardia and stay with Rajan and co. I have been meaning to stay for two nights, that turned into three and me wishing it would have lasted longer (thanks to random bandh). The setting is absolutely wonderful in the middle of peaceful rice fields, so is the design from the main dining area to the Taru cottages. I remember feeling right at home, arriving past sunset and diving right into a dish of the best Dhal Bhat Ive had in all of Nepal. The lodging was, to my frugal backpacker standards, luxurious, spacious, at the same time retaining that cosy and authentic clay-hut feeling that one ventures to these corners of the country for.”
“Alternately peaceful and exhilarating I spent four nights at Mango Tree Lodge, late April, early May. My email request for accommodation was answered within an hour which was reassuring as I was only a few hours away on the bus. Rajen is a very welcoming and attentive host. Delicious Nepali food was provided on arrival and throughout my stay. I slept without earplugs for the first time in months. A fabulous 11 hour trek with Mahendra in the National Park included sightings of a tiger, rhinos, a peacock and elephants. A great experience. Thank you! Read less”
